Graceville Music school is a boutique music school that prides itself on fun, accessible and engaging violin, viola, cello, double bass, vocal and piano lessons for all students at all levels. Private lessons are offered to all students, beginners through to advanced for fun, relaxation, exam preparation, auditions, and eisteddfods.

Courtney Truce

Voice, Cello, Double Bass

Principal Teacher, Courtney Truce (B. Mus., Dip.Ed., A.Mus.A Cello), has extensive teaching experience in Voice, Cello and Double Bass. After Graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music Performance in Classical Voice, Courtney then went on to complete her Diploma of Education at the University of Queensland. Since then, Courtney has used her talents to inspire a new generation as a vocal, lower stings and classroom music teacher and conductor. Courtney is a teacher with her finger on the pulse of the Brisbane music scene. She offers an individual approach for every student, depending on their age, abilities and aspirations. This ensures that they are engaged and excited about music making. 

Louise Cottone

Piano, Violin and Viola 

Louise is the principal Violin and Viola tutor at St Aidan’s. For the past three years, she has built up the beginner strings program and currently directs four string ensembles at the school. Upon the completion of her Bachelor of Music/Arts at UQ, Louise played professionally in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra for 6 years. She then went on to complete a Diploma of Education at UQ in 2013. 

Louise began her instrumental studies on the piano at age 5 under Joyce Skelton, culminating in gaining her CMusA. Taking up the violin from the age of 7, Louise went on to gain her AmusA at the age of 14 and her ATCL at 15. She gained a Distinction for her LMusA whilst studying Music at UQ, and led the UQ Symphony Orchestra. Louise also co-led the Queensland Youth Symphony and the Quintessential String Quartet on their overseas tours.
